It was never considered secondary or trivial, but since ancient times, scholars have been in discussion on its nature, epistemic authority, and as a source of evidence in both fundamental (usuli) and subsidiary (furu'i) issues. This is a critical topic that is closely related to the human action and its impacts on a person and society, and this paper explores this topic using inductive and analytical approaches. Ethics is a subject of everyone irrespective of religious beliefs and worldview, and therefore, each tradition understands it in relation to its intellectual and spiritual values, and as such, there are different ways and conceptualizations. Similarly fitrah holds a critical place, as it is an inborn element of human nature implanted by God in every individual, and associated with knowledge and epistemological thinking, to the point of being even called a kind of implicit knowledge itself. The Islamic scholars have played a key role in establishing the meaning of fitrah and ethics, their theoretical model, and their authority in the law and jurisprudence as evidenced. But the fact that there is no obvious textual basis has resulted in academic controversy, which has led to ijtihad and contemplation to discover how they should be interpreted. This paper is a continuation of that tradition to discuss this intimate relationship.
The study is called The Care of the Prophetic Sunnah to Muslim Women and it discusses the entire Prophetic approach to the respect of women and the maintenance of human and social integrity. The main issue of the research is to show how females passed the phase of marginalization and acquired the status of Islamic legal empowerment by the means of the Sunnah texts, and their realistic application. The analysis of this study indicates that the Prophetic Sunnah presented a distinct paradigm of women care that is holistic. This nurturance commences in childhood, and insists on the respect and chaste nurturing of females; goes on to the marital phase which the Sunnah specifies as the ultimate purpose of worship and chaste friendship; and finally to motherhood which the Sunnah identifies as the most ultimate purpose of worship and chaste companionship. In addition, the paper discusses the particular rights assured to women by the Sunnah, be it civil rights, like the independent legal liability of finances, social rights, such as the right to education and the right to marry a partner of their own choice, or devotional rights, in which all women are equal to men in spiritual gain and religious duty. The importance of such research is in the fact that the Prophetic care towards women is not a collection of slogans, but the integrated legal and ethical system. Its goal is to balance the social conditions and grant the dignity of women in their many roles to make the Prophetic guidance the ultimate source of solving the problem of the present-day women.
2026-03-11T09:08:10+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://aldebal.com/index.php/aldebal/article/view/146 THE HARSHNESS OF THE DOWRY SYSTEM IN TAGORE'S "DEBT AND DUE": A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF NIRUPAMA'S END 2026-03-11T12:14:05+00:00 سليم أختر admin@aldebal.com
The short story “Debt and Due” by Rabindranath Tagore is considered one of the most prominent realist texts that boldly exposed the cruelty of traditional Bengali society, particularly the dowry system, which transformed marriage from a human bond into a commercial transaction in which a woman’s value is measured by the amount of money she brings with her. The story revolves around the tragedy of Niropama, a young woman crushed under the pressure of oppressive social customs, while her father stands helplessly torn between paternal love and obligations beyond his means. This study examines the historical and social foundations of the dowry system in Bengal, showing how it was reinforced by religious texts and class-based traditions, and highlights its destructive impact on the lives of women and poor families. The critical analysis also explores the moral and class dimensions of the story, demonstrating how dowry turns the marital home into a system of oppression, with the mother-in-law, the father, the husband, and other characters appearing as interlinked agents in the making of this tragedy. The study further emphasizes Tagore’s mastery in shaping a sharp moral realism built on the accumulation of everyday details, leading to a shocking ending that reveals the problem to be not a matter of individual wrongdoing but a deeply rooted social structure. The reading concludes that Niropama was not an isolated victim, but a representative figure for thousands of girls crushed by oppressive customs, and that the story stands as a human document of protest against a system whose effects continue to persist in contemporary societies.
2026-03-11T12:14:05+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://aldebal.com/index.php/aldebal/article/view/152 STRATEGIES FOR DEVELOPING ARABIC LANGUAGE SKILLS AMONG NON-NATIVE SPEAKERS IN LIGHT OF THE COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH 2026-03-11T14:25:26+00:00 الدكتور موسى عيسى زين الدين mizainudeen@unimac.edu.gh
This study highlights strategies for developing Arabic language skills among non-native speakers through the communicative approach. It addresses the problem of weak linguistic competence caused by traditional teaching methods that focus on grammar rather than real communication. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, the study reviews relevant literature and examines key communicative strategies for developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The findings show that the communicative approach enhances learners’ language performance, promotes functional language use, and increases learning motivation. The study recommends training teachers of Arabic for non-native speakers in communicative strategies and integrating them into curricula.
2026-03-11T14:25:26+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement##
