Abstract

Abd al-Tawwab Yousef was an Egyptian writer and an eminent figure of children’s literature and authors with record literary production in the Arab world. He was considered one of the most prominent pioneers of children’s literature. His stories for children were characterized by the sweetness of style and sobriety. He was distinguished by his wide culture and keenness to provide everything that is useful for the new generation. His stories have many creative beauties that manifest themselves from his literary work for children. Abd al-Tawab Yousef has a special approach to writing for children, and his writings depend on focusing on Islamic values, establishing the right faith, creating love for the Holy Quran, and focusing on scientific and religious information simultaneously. He has taken a specific approach in his writing of the child, which he tried to apply in several areas, religious area: that is about Islam and Islamic culture, national area: manifestation of our civilization throughout the different ages, the need to work to prove oneself, global area: it revolves around the tendencies and needs of children, educational area: it revolves around attention to the educational aspect of his writings. By studying his stories, I tried to highlight these aspects mentioned above in his writings, while analysing some of his literary works in this paper.
