STRATEGIES FOR DEVELOPING ARABIC LANGUAGE SKILLS AMONG NON-NATIVE SPEAKERS IN LIGHT OF THE COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH
استراتيجيات تنمية مهارات اللغة العربية لدى الناطقين بغيرها في ضوء المدخل التواصلي
Abstract
This study highlights strategies for developing Arabic language skills among non-native speakers through the communicative approach. It addresses the problem of weak linguistic competence caused by traditional teaching methods that focus on grammar rather than real communication. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, the study reviews relevant literature and examines key communicative strategies for developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The findings show that the communicative approach enhances learners’ language performance, promotes functional language use, and increases learning motivation. The study recommends training teachers of Arabic for non-native speakers in communicative strategies and integrating them into curricula.
