Abstract

 Allah Almighty has provided men who devoted their lives to serving the Sunnah of the Prophet, and they took great care of it since the first centuries. Great men emerged from them, everyone who came after them benefited from them. The most distinguished one is Yunus bin Abd bin Dinar al-Basri, the follower, who is one of the youngest followers, and whose name is unknown to many students of knowledge in the current era. This study came to shed light on defining his life, upbringing, and connection with the scholars of his time, and highlighting his great role in narrating the hadith. The research reached several results, the most important of which are: that the great follower Yunus bin Ubaid bin Dinar was a companion of the scholars of his time and benefited from them in a way that enabled him to serve the Sunnah of the Prophet, narrating and issuing fatwas. The follower Yunus bin Ubaid bin Dinar al-Basri was one of the famous scholars in the early Islamic era. He was born in Basra and lived during the second century AH. He was one of the most prominent students of the great companion Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, and he had an important position in the hadith and jurisprudence.  Yunus ibn Ubayd was a jurist known for his piety and asceticism and was considered one of the leaders of the Basran school of thought in the second and third centuries AH. He had a great influence in transmitting and documenting the Prophetic Hadith, and he had significant contributions to verifying the Hadiths and transmitting them across generations of Muslims. In addition, Yunus ibn Ubayd had a good reputation for justice and accuracy, and was known for his commitment to the Prophetic Sunnah and the spirit of piety. He died leaving behind an important scientific legacy from which scholars and researchers draw to this day
