Abstract
Islamic literature is known as a world-class literary trend with distinguished features and characteristics as it is flourishing along with other literary trends of the world. There are a number of Islamic scholars who contributed to reviving and developing this Islamic trend of literature. The famous Egyptian writer Abdul Rahman Rafat Al basha is one of those pioneers who made a great effort to revive and nurture this trend in both theoretical and practical manners. He was given the title of engineer of Islamic. In his book "towards Islamic school in literature and criticism" he introduced the Islamic literature and perfectly defined its literary features by deeply discussing various issues related to literature and criticism like writers' commitment and freedom of thought and the stand of Islamic literature towards the other literary trends of the contemporary world. this analytical research aims to deal with Islamic literature and its characteristics in view of Abdul Rahman Rafat Al bash.
