Abstract

Azamgarh is a famous district  of Uttar Pradesh, India which has been the birthplace of many great personalities of different fields of arts and sciences such as Mīr ‘Alī ‘Ᾱshiqān, ‘Allāmah Shiblī Nu’mānī, Imām Ḥamīduddīn Farāhī, Maulānā Amīn Aḥsan Iṣlāḥī, Ḥāfiẓ Ḥabīburraḥmān A’ẓmī, Qāḍī Aṭhar Mubārakpūrī and Maulānā Ṣadruddīn Iṣlāḥī. Maulānā Aḥmad Ḥusain Rasoolpuri belonged to this district, was one of the greatest Indian scholars during his time. He has been considered an expert in all types of knowledge of Psychology and sciences; medicine, wisdom, pharmacology and drugs.  He was also a great scholar of Arabic Language and known as poet of Arabic Language. He was born in 1288 A.H. and died in 1359.
