Abstract

The Qur’ān is devine book revealed in Arabic to the Prophet Muḥammad (PBUH). Since its revelation it challenged the Arabs and other Arabic experts to bring its similar work. But all remained unable to accept its challenge, and till the Day of Resurrection none would be able to bring an Arabic book similar to it in language and contents. The Book, as challenged, is full of eloquent words, idioms, phrases and styles. It every word is eloquent and suits place where it has been put. And any change in its order will cause lapse of meaning as well as literary and coherent beauty. In the following short article one of its word ‘Aid’ (أيد) and its related derives have been discussed in the light of Arabic poetry.
