Abstract

We find so many qualities in the Arabic language which make the Arabic one of the most important languages in the world literarily and traditionally. We also found that the Arabic language shares some of its qualities with the other languages and the example is INTONATION found in the English language also. The definition of the intonation is as follows:

Intonation: Is variation of spoken pitch that is used to distinguish words. It is used for a range of functions such as indicating the attitudes and emotions of the speaker.

The topic of my article is to compare between the intonations in the both languages and to show how deeply this quality goes into the literary aspects of the both languages.
