Abstract
The Tamil Muslims occupied a respectable place, since the time immemorial as for the contribution of Indian Arabic literature is concerned. They are all aware that the Tamil Muslims were not the first to have contact with Arab Traders even centuries before Islam, but their acceptance of Islam was prevalent before the Islam of other communities in the country. This humble research has made a serious attempt to analyze the prophet’s panegyric poems of the poet Shaik Sadaqathullah Appa who uplifted the Indian Arabic Poetry. This research also aims to shed light on the status of the poet Shaik Sadaqathullah Appa and his contribution in the development of Arabic studies in the state of Tamil Nadu. And researcher has made strenuous efforts in order to register the contributions of a non-Arabic poet in Arabic language. And he is a prominent personality of the state of Tamil Nadu, who has made intensive services for Islamic and Arabic literature. He is the author of many valuable works. And he is the first person of the state of Tamil Nadu to compose Arabic poems. He is one among the brilliant poets who have made the whole world into the folds of Islamic literature. His poetic tendency has helped to define Islam, defended the essence of Islam and advocated Islamic teachings in order to disseminate Islam.
